ION’s Imaging & Reservoir Services team combines our comprehensive suite of leading edge velocity modeling and imaging technologies with our extensive global experience to deliver enhanced subsurface images. We have one of the industry’s most experienced teams of geoscience professionals, who collaborate with clients to solve their most difficult imaging challenges.

We are a customer-focused team who use a turnkey, data-driven approach employing our top tier technology and project management talents to create the best workflows and products to address our clients’ needs. We understand the importance of providing customized services to our clients throughout the life cycle of their projects, from acquisition design to the final models and imaging products.

In addition to proprietary projects, ION’s Imaging Services team produces our high-quality multi-client 2D and 3D data sets from basins around the world.  In order to address the most complex geological and geophysical challenges for both proprietary and multi-client projects, we continue to develop our technology toolbox, which includes:

  • ION’s Gemini Enhanced Frequency Source technology
  • Least-squares migration
  • FWI suite
  • Q-migration
  • OBN, NAZ, WAZ, MAZ, Coil
  • 4D capabilites
  • Aniostropic modeling and migrations
  • High frequency RTM
  • Tomography
  • Kirchhoff PTSM and PDSM
  • Machine Learning
  • AVO-compliant products
  • Land

ION’s Reservoir Services team integrates geophysical, geological and petrophysical information to allow for the identification of lithology, fluid or fracture intensity within hydrocarbon reservoirs. This valuable information leads to a more thorough understanding of subsurface features in challenging formations. Our reservoir services offerings include:

  • Rock Physics Studies
  • Inversions
  • AVO
  • Attribute Analysis
  • Fracture Detection
  • Unconventional Reservoirs
  • Interpretation
  • Reservoir Management
  • Pore Pressure Prediction
  • VSP Interpretation
