HOUSTON, Nov. 10 — Input/Output, Inc. (NYSE: IO) announced today that longtime board members Charles E. Selecman, 70, and Shelby H. Carter, Jr., 67, have retired as directors.

Mr. Selecman served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from December 1986 to January 1998. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of the company from 1989 until 1993 and again from May through December 1997. Mr. Carter served as a director of the company since February 1987.

”Mr. Selecman and Mr. Carter have been instrumental in the growth of Input/Output,” said W.J. ”Zeke” Zeringue, chairman and CEO of Input/Output. ”Their leadership, commitment, experience and strategic input have been critical to this company’s success. We will remember their contributions.”

Input/Output is a world leader in seismic acquisition technology for land, transition zone and marine exploration and production.
