The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and in conjunction with the Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM) are excited to host, IMAGE 2021 ‒ the International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & Energy. The three societies will hold this integrated annual meeting over the next five years, the first of which will be a hybrid event.
The SEG, AAPG, and SEPM have joined forces to create this powerhouse event bringing together multiple disciplines of the geosciences sector. IMAGE ’21 combines all the great elements from each society’s previous annual meetings under one roof.

We’ve adapted methodologies developed for 4D marine acquisition that benefit 3D towed streamer surveys. The Swath Matching Technique has been applied on a Mid North Sea High (MNSH) 3D survey to demonstrate the benefits of predicting oceans currents on survey efficiency. This method can be applied in any area where there is a reasonable level of current predictability. A detailed case study will be available during IMAGE ‘21.
