What do you do at ION?          

I manage ION's Seabed Solutions group.  Our task is to work with our oil & gas company clients in a collaborative manner to understand their marine imaging objectives and to offer a comprehensive solution that addresses their challenges and goals. As the group's name indicates, our solutions address seabed seismic acquisition including both re-deployable and permanent operations. Our solutions reach across all relevant ION groups and draw upon the technologies that best achieve the objectives at hand.

What is unique about your role?

Unlike most managers at my level, who have responsibility for a specific business unit or product line, my role is to look for ways to capture greater value from ION's innovative technology. When addressing a specific customer problem, we are able to draw from the vast product and service offerings within ION to developed a customized solution.  On a more "global" scale, my group tries to identify gaps or unmet client needs in the marine environment that might prompt ION's next new innovative product or service.
