VectorSeis Ocean II Redeployable Ocean Bottom Cable Acquisition System

Since its initial deployment in 2004, VectorSeis Ocean technology has a proven track record of delivering the highest resolution imaging in the North Sea, Caspian Sea, offshore West Africa and Brazil, Gulf of Mexico and Arabian Gulf. In addition, the system's buoy-based architecture improves the safety and efficiency of operations by eliminating the need for a recording vessel thus reducing man power, operational complexity, and environmental footprint.

VSO II enhancements further improve crew productivity and mitigate operational risk:

  • Shortens cycle time through unmatched operational efficiency from buoy-based architecture, larger spreads, continuous recording, and faster troubleshooting
  • Reduces HSE exposure by eliminating a dedicated recording vessel, automating cable handling, and utilizing advanced multi-vessel command and control
  • Captures superior data quality with proprietary multicomponent sensor, de-tensioning technology, and superior coupling
