Concept Systems’ GATOR command and control system is the industry-leading, seabed survey management solution. Deployed by the majority of seabed acquisition contractors, GATOR has proven itself capable of delivering affordable, high-quality seismic data while serving as the ‘nerve center’ of the entire acquisition operation.
Originally developed for ocean-bottom cable (OBC) operations, GATOR has been successfully applied in support of a variety of acquisition techniques, including:
- Shallow water and transition zone
- Re-deployable OBC
- Permanent OBC
- Emerging nodal techniques
GATOR is available for purchase or short-term rental and is offered as part of an integrated solution which includes:
- Comprehensive installation support
- GATOR software license scaled to complexity of operation
- Optional integration of the REFLEX binning and attribute analysis software
- All hardware including computers, navigation interfacing and radio-telemetry.

GATOR has been deployed in a wide range of seismic surveys throughout the world. There are over 15 licenses in the field, confirming GATOR’s ability to provide operational efficiency improvements along with high quality positioning data, the signature expertise of Concept Systems.
As part of the ION family, Concept Systems is extending the functionality of GATOR by integrating with the VectorSeis Ocean (VSO) seabed acquisition system.
