In-field 4D Acquisition Optimization

Concept Systems offers 4D consulting services and software to optimize the quality of repeatability and ensure smooth operation of the 4D acquisition. The services can be provided in the field by Concept Systems personnel or by remote access to our 4D team based in the office.

Concept Systems’ 4D software tools, which include 3D coverage analysis, 4D attribute and repeatability analysis and real-time 4D navigation software, form the backbone of a comprehensive acquisition support service providing:

  • 4D software installation & support
  • Loading and setting up the baseline survey
  • Monitoring the acquisition of the data as it is acquired, including 4D shot and feather displays
  • Daily loading of monitor data as acquired and generating 3D coverage, track plots, 4D attribute difference and repeatability outputs. 
  • Highlight and analysis of deviations from planned results
  • Adjustment and reissue of the 4D shooting plan, if required
  • Communication of all 4D issues between the client/client QC, contractor and Concept Systems
  • Set up for two boat operations, including the installation of the 4D acquisition software on the master vessel, crew training, loading the data and acquiring a test line, if feasible

Real-Time 4D Navigation Software

Additional 4D navigation software modules have been developed for Concept Systems’ range of real-time navigation and data management products - SPECTRA, ORCA and GATOR.  The 4D navigation software offers the following functionality:

  • Automatic steering and shooting based on imported source pre-plots; all baseline source locations with the relevant baseline feather value for each shot can be imported
  • Real-time 4D displays to monitor source and feather repeatability to allow corrective action if necessary
  • Real-time and offline QC tools to monitor repeatability performance
