AHV-IV - The Industry Workhorse

ION's AHV-IV, with its field-proven reliability and ability to deliver up 60,000 lb of peak force, sets the standard for tire-based vibrator products in the seismic industry today. It is recognized by contractors worldwide as the industry workhorse.

The AHV-IV was designed with features that make it reliable and easy to maintain, even in demanding acquisition environments:

  • Simplified hydraulics
  • High-capacity hydraulic cooling
  • Advanced reaction mass assembly
  • Reduced hoses and fittings to simplify maintenance and ease troubleshooting
  • Simplified electrical maintenance

Additional features ensure the safety of crews involved in the acquisition operation:

  • Simplified operator controls
  • Articulated, oscillated steering
  • Certified roll-over protection
  • Lowest center of gravity in the industry

XVib - The Standard for Tundra and Desert Environments

The XVib is ION's latest vibrator offering. Its tracked chassis and associated low-impact drive system reduce environmental impact. These features and its superior mobility and maneuverability make this the vibrator of choice for Arctic - tundra and desert - operations.

The XVib's superior maneuverability results in more shots per day by minimizing productivity-reducing challenges in the acquisition operation:

  • Fewer go-arounds and offset shots
  • Less trail preparation

The XVib also supports the delivery of the highest quality seismic images by allowing source lines to be optimized for geophysical objectives, not operational challenges.

Seismic acquisition operations are inherently risky, presenting contractors and oil & gas companies with numerous health, safety and environmental (HSE) challenges. The XVib was designed to mitigate these HSE risks and support cost-effective surveys with the highest operational integrity:

  • Lower ground pressure reduces impact on sensitive terrain
  • Articulated steering minimizes damage on delicate Arctic tundra
