ION-GXT Teams Up with the Cystic Fibrosis FoundatioN
ION-GX Technology held their 11th Annual Golf Tournament in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The 2010 event brought the industry together at Blackhorse Golf Club in Houston, Texas where more than 120 golfers and sponsors participated in driving, chipping, and putting their way to over a $17,000 contribution to the foundation. The generous donations made the 11th Anniversary tournament an even more memorable event. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and participants for making this year's event successful!
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a difference in the 30,000 lives that suffer from this devastating disease. In 1989, CF-funded scientists discovered the defective gene, known to cause cystic fibrosis - considered a major breakthrough in curing CF. Today the Foundation continues to do research in support of their efforts. There are now more than 30 potential new treatments in various stages of development and clinical trials are showing great promise with two drugs that actually treat the root cause of CF. Hopefully soon, CF will stand for Cure Found.
