ION Teams Up With KMS Technologies and RXT
ION is a proud participant of BP's MS 150 Bike Tour, a two-day cycling adventure from Houston to Austin that raises funds to help people living with MS. ION has previously allied with KMS Technologies and RXT, a key partner of ION in seabed imaging, to organize a corporate-sponsored team. The team, called KMS EM Rulers, consists of 50 enthusiastic riders, 28 of who are ION employees.
About BP's MS 150
Each year, close to 13,000 bicyclists take to the streets to participate in the BP MS 150, an event that raises more than $11 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Through the enormous efforts of the riders and the volunteers, the BP MS150 bike ride has become the largest sporting event of its kind in the nation and, since its inception in 1985, has raised over $47 million to help the fight against MS.
The two-day cycling adventure takes riders from Houston to Austin and provides a unique tour of Texas hill country. Riders peddle between 140 to 174 miles on routes that snake through many small Texas towns and the tour features an overnight stay at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange. However, it's not just Texans that participate. Riders come from across the world to endure the hills, headwinds, sun, heat and even rain. Young and old, all ride to support friends, loved ones and colleagues who have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
