Founded in 1971 to market a miniature optical compass, DigiCOURSE soon found a ready market in the geophysical exploration industry. DigiCOURSE has used its wealth of technical expertise and industry awareness to develop, manufacture, and service systems for seabed and towed streamer seismic imaging.
Operating as part of the ION Geophysical family of companies since 1998, DigiCOURSE has built upon its position as the premier supplier of in-water positioning equipment to address data acquisition and energy source systems. DigiCOURSE technologies are used in traditional 2D and 3D seismic surveys and in the rapidly growing areas of time-lapse 4D reservoir monitoring and digital, full-wave imaging.
Throughout its history, DigiCOURSE has supplied its customers with innovative, cost-effective solutions. By joining with ION's Reservoir and Marine Data Acquisition Systems groups to form Marine Imaging Systems Division, DigiCOURSE has strengthened its ability to provide the seismic industry with breakthrough technologies to overcome the toughest imaging challenges.
